A Neutral Vendor model is usually where the Managed Service Provider (MSP) has no impetus or interest in the direct recruitment or resourcing of any of the services it manages on behalf of the Client.

Therefore releases all jobs or service requests to all supplying or panel agencies for the appropriate category at the same time through the managed services system.

The NLMS Neutral Vendor arrangement ensures its search and selection procedure is completed blind throughout the system. No agency name, branding or contact details are exposed to the Client.

This ensures that candidates are measured against set factors which, in turn ensures there can be no bias to one agency over another. This means that each supplier has an equal opportunity to source candidates for the role and therefore ensures that all supplying agencies are motivated to send their best candidates priced competitively.

Not all neutral vendor services work in this manner, as many operate a ‘faster finger first’ approach to the submittal of candidates, whereby it is the first 10 CVs submitted that are sent through to the recruiting manager, providing no quality control.

We believe that it is quality not quantity that is important and therefore allow all of our suppliers an equal amount of time to source candidates that match the criteria; all of whom are then screened by our system, which then provides the hiring manager with a shortlist of the very best candidates.
